Publish in Community Literacy Journal

[Announcement from he-sl listserv]

Greetings!

As incoming editors of the interdisciplinary Community Literacy Journal, we are ready and eager to begin reviewing submissions for the Spring 2018 issue.

In taking over editorial duties, we look forward to carrying on the work of founding editors Michael Moore and John Warnock, to whom we are deeply indebted. As in the past, the CLJ will continue to publish “both scholarly work that contributes to the field’s emerging methodologies and research agendas and work by literacy workers, practitioners, and community literacy program staff and clients. We are especially committed to presenting work done in collaboration between academics and community members.”

Authors seeking to submit a manuscript to the CLJ can go to our website, communityliteracy.org, which is currently in transition but available for uploading manuscripts. Alternatively, you can email us at editorsclj@gmail.com. To be considered for the Spring 2018 issue, please submit by November 1.

Attendees of the upcoming Conference on Community Writing in Boulder, CO in October should also be on the lookout for a separate CFP dedicated to the Conference. To our great delight, this special issue of the CLJ will be guest edited by Marquette University’s Jenn Fishman and New Mexico State University’s Lauren Rosenberg.  If you have any questions about the conference or the journal, please feel free to email me directly at veronica.house@colorado.edu

All the best,
Paul Feigenbaum and Veronica House
