The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation continues to expand the research and policy department and have engaged EFL Associates in a search for two critical new senior level positions of: The Programmatic Research Director and The Director of Evaluation.  We are asking your assistance in reaching out to your professional network to identify qualified candidates.

Please forward this message to your network of contacts in an effort to “cast the net wide” and reach candidates with the research experience, knowledge and relationship skills necessary for these unique roles.

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kauffman Foundation (www.kauffman.org) is among the thirty largest foundations in the United States with an asset base of approximately $2 billion.  The Foundation has an extensive Research and Policy program that is ultimately aimed at helping to develop effective programs and inform policy that will best advance education and entrepreneurship. A research or grant writing background in education, economics, public policy or entrepreneurship is desired for the Programmatic Research Director and a background in evaluation and measurement is essential for the Director of Evaluation.

We are seeking Programmatic Research candidates who possess:

·        At least 7 years of experience working in a research or grant writing capacity, including demonstrated comfort with quantitative and qualitative data analysis and experience developing metrics for measuring and communicating success.

·        A background in managing project work, including establishing timelines, managing internal resources and external partners and meeting deadlines and project/budget goals.

·        Previous supervisory experience including hiring, managing, evaluating and developing a team.

·        Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic and detail orientation.
