Dear community-engaged scholarship colleagues,

The Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities is pleased to present the Mid-Atlantic Facilitated Dialogue hosted by President Jim Harris at Widener University. Aptly themed “Building Sustainable Funding for
Engagement: Advancing Engagement in an Urban Environment,” this dialogue explores how urban and metropolitan universities leverage their unique missions and contexts to attract public and private support for university-community engagement.  Facilitated by Dr. David Weerts, this conversation will examine how campuses might expand opportunities for philanthropic support as it relates to engaged teaching, research, and service.

Date:  Tuesday, December 4, 2012
Time:  8:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Location:  Widener University, Chester, PA

Space is limited for this dialogue, so reserve your seat immediately.
They encourage university teams to attend that might include presidents, vice presidents for development/advancement, vice presidents for engagement, and directors and senior administrators in the areas of development/advancement and community engagement.
