The 2018
Gulf-South Summit is returning to Alabama this year! On behalf of my
colleagues and co-hosts here in Birmingham (The University of Alabama at
Birmingham, Birmingham Southern College and Samford University), we hope you
will join us. Early Bird Registration closes February 15th, so act now!
This year's conference theme, Changing
the Narrative: Storytelling as Social Action, will provide a dynamic forum
to discuss the challenges and successes of higher education's drive toward true
community engagement. Since 2003, the Gulf South Summit has convened passionate
educators, practitioners, community partners and students from 33 states and
abroad to discuss best practices, share research, and cultivate a professional
network. The summit includes over 100 nationally-recognized keynote speakers,
peer-led paper and workshop sessions, as well as a variety of topical
pre-conference workshops. We hope to see you there!
