Call for Papers

[Announcement from SCRA-L]

Hello! My colleague and I are organizing a special issue of the Journal of Prevention and Intervention in the Community focused on social inequality. Included within the general framework of social inequality are health, education, and economic disparities, stigma, and discrimination; as well as resistance, liberation and empowerment. If you have unpublished research in this area, we would like to hear from you. We are seeking empirical studies (broadly defined) of group and community experiences with social inequality as well as ways in which individuals, groups, and communities can and are engaging to prevent/address the consequences of inequality, as well as creating change to eliminate inequalities. Manuscripts should be around 20 pages in length (double spaced) and follow APA guidelines. If you are interested or have questions, please contact either Kelly L. Hazel (kelly.hazel@metrostate.edu) or Kerry S. Kleyman (Kerry.kleyman@metrostate.edu). To be considered for the special issue, please e-mail either of us with a brief synopsis of your research (250-300 words) as well as names of the authors and contact information of the lead author by June 15, 2017.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Kelly
