Dear
Colleagues,
We are five weeks away from the 9th Annual Connecting Campuses with Communities conference (CCC) on May 15-19, 2017 in Indianapolis.
There are still seats available for both
the Research Academy and Service Learning Institute. These two events
known collectively as Connecting Campuses with Communities (CCC) are designed
for those interested in enhancing their service learning courses (Service
Learning Institute) and/or advancing their research on service learning and
community engagement (Research Academy).
CCC is jointly hosted by the IUPUI
Center for Service and Learning and Indiana Campus Compact. Registration
is $300 or one event or $550 for to attend both. We offer a reduced rate
for graduate students of $200 for one event and $350 for both. Also, we offer
discounts for the Research Academy for groups of 3 or more.
This two-part event focuses on building
a network of scholars and practitioners and offers the following opportunities:
Institute
Objectives:
* To increase the number of high quality
service learning courses
* To share promising practices and
generate new ideas
* To enhance reflection, assessment, and partnerships
in service learning classes
* To build a network of service learning
practitioners
Academy
Objectives:
* To strengthen research on service
learning and community engagement
* To advance the scholarship of teaching
and learning
* To provide consultation and feedback on
research ideas
* To build a network of service learning
scholars
