The Office of Community Engagement and Service (OCES)
collaborates with local communities to develop and support sustainable
opportunities for enhanced student learning through community service, civic
engagement and service learning. It seeks to foster a campus culture that
guides students effectively through community-based experiences and encourages
all who serve in the local communities to think critically, understand diverse
contexts, reflect and then take purposeful action.
The Coordinator of Volunteerism & Outreach is a member of
the OCES team and is primarily responsible for direct service programming,
including building relationships with and engaging individual students and
student organizations in local communities. The Coordinator will supervise
numerous student employees and student leaders.
