2013 Gulf South Summit on Service Learning and Civic Engagement through Service Learning
Downtown Louisville Marriott February 27- March 1
Kentucky Campus Compact is honored to sponsor the 2013 Gulf South Summit on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Service Learning. The conference is in Louisville, Kentucky, and this may be a great opportunity for your faculty and staff to participate in this excellent regional Summit.
The Conference theme is Re-Engaging Democracy in the 21st Century: Preparing Students to Lead Civic-Minded Lives and will feature key note speakers: Caryn McTighe Musil, senior vice president of AAC&U, Julie Hatcher, executive director of the Center for Service and Learning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), as well as Silas House, author, activist and the NEH chair of Appalachian Studies at the Loyal Jones Appalachian Center at Berea College..
