The State Higher Education Council of Virginia (SCHEV) will
soon be requiring all public institutions of higher education in the state to
assess civic engagement. The slide presentation linked below was presented at a
recent SCHEV meeting and describes assessment tools and techniques currently
being used at Virginia Commonwealth University to assess civic engagement at
the institution, program, and student levels.
