AAC&U invites proposals for concurrent sessions at the
2013 Network for Academic Renewal conference, Global
Learning in College: Asking Big Questions, Engaging Urgent Challenges.
This meeting will explore what the most important global learning
outcomes should be and will focus on how we can develop concrete learning
opportunities that help students gain the knowledge, skills, and
commitments needed for global competence. It will highlight campus
practices that teach students how to effectively address “big questions”
and to engage the world’s most pressing problems.
Conference Themes Include:
Theme I: Gathering and Using Evidence to Strengthen Students’
Global Learning
Theme II: Liberal Education, Diversity, and Global Learning
Theme III: Engaging Problems/Engaging Projects
Theme IV: Civic Engagement, Equity, and the Ethics of Global Learning
