DelNero, a Cornell University biomedical engineering doctoral student,
published in Science, "From Patients to Partners, that showcases his
perspective about being a community-engaged scientist. I highly recommend it.

You can read more about Peter's path to becoming a
community-engaged scientist in the upcoming fall issue of the Michigan Journal
(due out in December) in which we have a special section on graduate education
and SLCE. Peter's article describes and analyzes his transformed scientist
identity to that of community-engagement. He represents the kind of
community-engaged scientist we in the SLCE community hope to see graduate and
join the community of scientists.
Peter represents the best a scientist can be, and I am in
awe of his commitment to science and humanity.
