Colleagues—less than a week remains until the deadline for submitting proposals for the 2014 Gulf-South Summit<http://www.gulfsouthsummit.org/> on Service-Learning and Civic Engagement through Higher Education. This is a great conference, and while it sounds like it’s regionally focused on those of us in the south (broadly defined), it’s essentially become a national conference, and submissions are welcome from all over.
Proposals (for individual presentations, panel
discussions, interactive workshops, and/or posters) are due October 15: Click
here to submit a proposal<http://www.gulfsouthsummit.org/rfp.htm>
Nominations for awards (outstanding practitioner,
outstanding community partner, outstanding faculty, outstanding student, and
outstanding collaboration) are due November 1: Click here to submit an award
nomination<http://www.gulfsouthsummit.org/awardform.htm>
Gulf-South Summit will be held at Auburn University, next
March 26-28. Click here to register <https://mell-base.uce.auburn.edu/wconnect/CourseStatus.awp?&course=C140327>
to take advantage of the early registration discounted fee.
Please share with other interested faculty, students,
staff, and community partners—Thanks!
