The Arizona
Summit on Volunteerism and Service-Learning provides an opportunity for
volunteer and service-learning leaders to advance and strengthen their skills
and knowledge. This statewide conference provides training and professional
development opportunities for those involved in volunteerism and
service-learning in every sector.
Through
inspiring plenary sessions, interactive workshops, exhibits, networking, and
more, attendees will strengthen their ability to “Inspire. Energize.
Mobilize,” to better serve important needs in Arizona. The Summit will
explore ways to encourage volunteer and service-learning leaders to think in
broad terms that intentionally include Arizona citizens of all ages,
backgrounds and abilities.
Request
for Proposals Open NOW through July 15
The Steering Committee seeks
proposals that will engage: volunteers, Service-Learners, public and private
educational institutions, youth groups, government agencies, community and
faith-based groups, volunteer managers, service clubs, corporation and business
leaders in preparing for a new age of volunteerism and service-learning in our
communities. Youth-led workshop proposals are also welcomed and encouraged.
For those selected to present at the 2013 Summit, lead presenters will receive free admission and co/secondary presenters will receive reduced admission to attend the full Summit.
