health inequities and who is able to supervise clinical practica. This
would be a great job for someone who is interested working in a
Clinical-Community training program.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Clinical-Community Psychology University
of South Carolina
The Department of Psychology invites applications for a
tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in
Clinical-Community Psychology. In particular, we seek candidates whose
research program focuses on socio-cultural dimensions of health.
Successful candidates will (a) be competitive for external research funding and
(b) contribute to USC’s priority on health-focused research. Successful
candidates will also have (c) the ability to supervise intervention practica
for doctoral students (e.g., adult, couples, family therapy).
Preference will be given to candidates whose research
addresses concerns of African American, Latino, or other populations disproportionally
affected by social and health inequities. This is an area of strong
national focus given the recent implementation of the National Patient Centered
Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), and the NIH Office for Behavioral and
Social Sciences (OBSSR) is focused on these issues as a top priority. The
Clinical-Community Doctoral Program has emphases in child and family
well-being, community-based intervention and prevention, and integration of
clinical and community psychology. Qualifications include a promising
record in original research, a commitment to quality teaching, and a doctoral
degree or satisfactory progress toward completion of a doctoral degree in
psychology or a related field. The candidate should be licensed or license
eligible and interested in pursuing licensure. Eligible candidates must have a
Ph.D. from a doctoral program APA-accredited in clinical psychology.
The Department of Psychology has three Ph.D. programs:
clinical-community psychology, experimental psychology, and school psychology,
with interest areas that cut across programs - child and family issues,
cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, developmental processes, drug abuse and
addiction, psychopathology, prevention and community-based intervention. For
