Our program at Messiah College has a very unique
service-learning component. In lieu of a “senior capstone” experience,
all students actively participate in a service-learning project that has a
technical engineering aspect and is integrated through the sophomore, junior,
and senior years. The projects are administered by the Collaboratory at
Messiah College. (www.messiah.edu/collaboratory)
Our faculty participate as advisors for these projects and do much of their
professional scholarship through those projects.
