Early Registration Deadline for SCRA’s 14th Biennial Conference in Miami, June 26 – 29, is May 19, 2013! The early registration deadline for SCRA’s 14th Biennial Conference in Miami, June 26 – 29, is May 19, 2013!  Join your colleagues for professional development and networking on topics related to community research and action. There will be hundreds of individual presentations and interactive sessions from which to choose, and keynote addresses by Alison Austin, Michelle Fine, Lenny Jason, and Niki Hare. The conference theme is Communal Thriving:  In Pursuit of Meaning, Justice, and Well Being. More information about the conference can be found at http://www.scra27.org/biennial/2013_biennial. Take advantage of special rates for housing on the University of Miami (UM) campus as well as a negotiated conference rate with the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove.  The Mayfair Hotel is offering the Mayfair Suite rooms for $129 a night and the Double Executive rooms at $149 a night.  Please contact the Mayfair Reservations Department at (305) 441-0000, ext. 3570 or (800) 433-4555 and identify that you are with the Society for Community Research & Action group for the special rates. The deadline to make reservations at the Mayfair at the discounted rates is Friday, May 31st, 2013 at 6pm ET. Shuttles will be available between Coconut Grove and the UM campus during the conference.
